My work highlights the significance of lyricism, determination to achieve goals, rising up against darkness, and honesty that is absent in much of the mainstream Hip Hop music. A lot of mainstream Hip Hop promotes destructive habits and lifestyles while selling false personas to consumers, therefore weaponizing the artform and culture against those it’s supposed to represent. Through my music, I want to bring honesty and skill back into the forefront of Hip Hop. I want to communicate the complexity of the human condition without creating art that promotes the negative parts of humanity. I look up to artists like Kendrick Lamar, Rapsody, J. Cole, and LaRussell for their intentional work to be transparent about their humanity and flaws, but also for consistently expressing the importance of self respect, honor, and positively impacting the culture and world.

It’s not my desire to be rich and famous, I just want to be able to live comfortably off of my art while making a positive impact on the world. I want to creatively speak my truth through Hip Hop music while simultaneously promoting positivity through the lenses of social awareness, transparency, and creative liberation. I want to emphasize the importance for Hip Hop artists to love the artform and culture because those two elements create lasting power and real impact.
